National Dance Team Championship
 The 2010 National Dance Team Championship (NDTC) will take place at the Walt Disney Resort® in Orlando, Florida February 5th-7th. The national championship is administered by Universal Dance Association, a division of Varsity Brands, Inc. The NDTC is the only national dance team championship endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations, the national service and administrative organization for high school athletics and fine arts programs in speech, debate, theater, and music.
Dance teams hoping to compete at the national level are evaluated at UDA summer camps in order to qualify for the competition. If you are interested in attending the NDTC and wish to learn how to qualify, contact your UDA State Director for details!
Last year, approximately 300 high school and all star dance teams made the cut and competed at the National Dance Team Championship, and we are expecting the same for 2010. Dance teams compete in divisions based on team size and grade/age level and have the option to enter 2 of the following categories: jazz, hip hop, pom, and high kick. At the 2009 NDTC, there were an estimated 10,000 spectators in attendance. The competition will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will reach more than 90 million homes this year. The All-Star Competition will be taking place on SATURDAY!
All Star Teams can qualify for our National Competition by either submitting a video, qualifying at camp, or qualifying at a regional competition.
